Sonic Circus Supplies the White Stripes with a Neve 8014 and more...
November 15, 2008: Jack White of the White Stripes and Raconteurs has taken ownership of a fully restored Neve 8014. This selection dovetails perfectly into his unwavering commitment to uncluttered old school production values.
The console originated from the South African Broadcast Corporation in Johannesburg and was painstakingly resurrected prior to delivery. Sonic Circus received the referral from client and famed producer/mixer Joe Chiccarelli.
Several other erotic vintage items were also procured, including an RCA 77DX, Urei Cooper Time Cube (think “Slow Ride" by Foghat), EMT 140 Plate Reverb (used on countless Beatles tracks and more) and Mic Mix spring reverb (heard on numerous Neil Young recordings).
